A Wilting Fountain is an album that shines a light on the earthly, the liminal and the spiritual, using an old Romanian carol as its opening incantation and guide. The thread running through all five songs is self-confrontation: starting from the noise of the outside world and moving inward, until the only thing left to face is yourself. The album will be released September 9th via Neuronoir on CD and cassette, and will be available on all major streaming platforms.
Paenil Era
Representing an anagram of the romanian words ‘Pâlnie Rea’, Pâenil Era is a post-black metal project from Timisoara, Romania, which started in 2012 initially under the name Signatura Rerum. Symbolizing a broken or partly functional filter that takes in a flow of subconscious dark thoughts, it represents an attempt to connect with the subconscious and give a voice to the dark side of the psyche.
