“Contururi” will be the first full-length album in the history of the project, and will be released 3rd of July on all major streaming platforms and on a limited edition cassette run of 50 copies.

Blending post-rock, post-metal with elements of post-black metal, “Contururi” is an album that explores the gradual loss of form and clarity, capturing the flow between presence and dissolution through six symbolic, atmospheric tracks.

VAARCLOC is a post metal solo project initiated by Erwin Weber in 2011. The name represents the anagram of the romanian word ‘Vârcolac’, which translates to ‘Werewolf’. This mythological creature, known to be half-man, half-wolf, serves as a metaphor for antithesis: the man being the representation of goodness and the wolf, that of evil. Anagramming the name of this creature metaphorically conveys, through the manipulation of its literal structure and meaning of the word (the antithesis), that the perception of what is good or evil has become unintelligible.
